Woman Stabs Husband to Death During Fight in Anambra

A 20 year-old woman identified as Makuduchukwu Ndubisi, has stabbed her 35-year old husband, Johnbosco Ngu, to death in Anambra State.

The incident occurred on Saturday at Nsugbe in Anambra East Local Government Area of the state.

A source believed that the duo had been engaged in a fight when the wife drew a knife and stabbed him, leading to his death.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, SP Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident to Fides, saying the corpse of the deceased had been deposited at a morgue while investigation on the matter was on going.

He said, ‘Today (Saturday) at about 8am, police detectives attached to 33 Police Station, Onitsha, arrested one Makuduchukwu Ndubisi, 20, of No 16 Donking Street, Nsugbe in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State.

‘The suspect allegedly had a scuffle with her husband, one John Bosco Ngu, aged 35 years, of the same address and stabbed him on his chest with a sharp knife.

‘The scene was visited by police detectives and victim rushed to Borromeo Hospital, Onitsha for medical attention but was certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor,’ he said, adding that corpse was deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy. He said that exhibits were recovered and that the case was under investigation to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident.
