The Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, last Sunday assured the faithful that with faith in God, they will achieve the impossible and see what others do not see.
He gave the assurance while delivering a homily during his Pastoral visit to St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Nkpor Agu.
According to Archbishop Okeke, amid human fragilities and systemic failures, the Father remains the God of faithfulness and love, who invites us to be confident, faithful and prepared to experience His glory.
The Prelate notes that with a deeper awareness of God’s faithful love, we will diligently grow our faith and prepare to obtain the lasting treasures in our heavenly homeland by unwavering acts of faith and works of love.
With faith as the foundation of our discipleship, we shall see the invisible, achieve the impossible, overcome challenges, stay steadfast and savour the heavenly banquet of blessings.
The Archbishop prayed for a grace of solid faith and final perseverance in doing good to access the riches of God’s glory.
The Parish Priest, Fr. Anthony Chukwu, in his remarks showered accolades on the prelate for visiting them.
He also thanked the parishioners for their usual support and cooperation, describing them as good parishioners.
The Vice Chairman of the Parish Council, Hon. Paschal, who spoke to the press, described the visit of the archbishop as a blessing, proclaiming that they had been encouraged spiritually.
Also the Parish CMO Chairman, Attanetius Agubata, Parish CWO President, Uchechukwu Akwobi and her Secretary Ifeanyinwa Umeji, in their separate remarks expressed joy over the visit.
They thanked the Archbishop for his fatherly love and as well described their Parish Priest as a humble, dynamic, prayerful and hardworking father.
Features at the event include the Confirmation of 554 candidates and the commissioning of a new Grotto of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
