The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief (Sir) Chuks Brown Igbonua, says the members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Idemili North are lucky and blessed to have High Chief Sir Barr Ifeatu Obi-Okoye as the current Chairman of the party in Anambra State.
Chief Igboanua who stated this while addressing the executive members of APGA, Idemili North, who called on him at his office located inside Idemili North Local Government Headquarters, Ogidi, stated that Chief Obi-Okoye was vast and experienced in party politics, adding that he had no doubt that he (Sir Obi-Okoye) would prove his mettle and deliver as the helmsman of the party in Anambra State.
The council boss, popularly known as Ezeoba, commended the members of APGA Idemili North Executive, for their decision to make his office, a first point of call, stressing the need for humility and steadfastness.
‘I want you people to be patient and loyal to the party hierarchies. Continue to work for the party. You will surely be rewarded someday. Do not be discouraged. I am a product of humility and steadfastness. Many of you have diligently served the party and deserve to be appreciated. Your time will come,’ he said.
Igboanua promised to contribute his quota towards uplifting and promoting the party in Idemili North Local Government Area and beyond, even as he reminded them that the LGA Party Exco had been structured in such a way that there would be mutual benefits for all and sundry.
Chief Igboanua warned against anti-party politics and activities, stating that it would surely boomerang and urged members to be dedicated and selfless.
Earlier in a remark, APGA Idemili North party Chairman, Chief Lemmy Ekwo, thanked the Transition Committee Chairman for his hospitality and warm reception, assuring that they would put into use all that he had said.
