Unizik VC Appoints  Ojukwu Adviser on  Public Relations, Special Duties

The Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof Charles Esimone, has appointed a former Public Relations Officer of the institution, Dr. Emmanuel Ojukwu, as Special Adviser on Public Relations and Special Duties.

The appointment letter was dated July 5, 2023, and signed by the Registrar of the University, Barrister Philomena Okoye.

Esimone in the letter said the appointment was to enable Ojukwu to contribute more to the growth of the University.

Ojukwu was the Director of Information and Public Relations of the University from 2007 to 2019. He became a lecturer 1 in the Department of Political Science where he was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2022.

Ojukwu, who confirmed his appointment in a telephone interview, said in his new position, he was expected to advise the Vice Chancellor on critical areas of stakeholder engagement and other duties as may be assigned to him by the Vice Chancellor.

Ojukwu, a graduate of the University of Benin, holds a degree in the English Language;a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication and a PhD in Political Science.
