The ministerial Nominee for Anambra State, Barr. Mrs Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, Tuesday, visited the Senator representing Anambra Central Zone, Dr. Sir Victor Umeh, in his office at the National Assembly.
The Minister designate was at the National Assembly for the ongoing screening of ministerial nominees by the Senate.
Barr. Ohanenye who is a native of Anambra Central said her visit to Senator Umeh’s office was to pay respect and fraternize with Umeh whom she described as her elder brother and Senator representing her home Senatorial District before proceeding to the day’s main event.
For his part, Senator Umeh congratulated her for her hard work and for making the list of ministerial nominees. He wished her good luck in the screening and urged her to use her good offices, if confirmed, to make contributions for the good of Anambra Central and Anambra State, while discharging her duty to the Federal Government.
Senator Umeh also introduced her to Hon Barr. Sylvester Okonkwo, Chief of Staff to the President of the Senate, who is from Anambra State, and the Senate President, Godswill Obot Akpabio.
