Umeadi Foundation Gives Palliatives to Stranded UNIZIK Students

As world leaders pledge billions for COVID-19 vaccine and research, Dr. Chinedu Umeadi Foundation (DCUF) has pledged more support and love to the most vulnerable and needy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Students Union Government appeal to DR. CHINEDU UMEADI FOUNDATION – (DCUF) for assistance as some of the students who were not able to travel before the first phase of the National Lockdown were facing some difficulties in the University Community.

Following the passionate appeal of Students Union Government (SUG) of Nnamdi Azikiwe University for assistance to some students who were not able to travel before the lockdown, the Chairman of DCUF, Dr. Chinedu Umeadi, has donated various food items to the Unizik SUG.

The DCUF team led by Mr. Uchenna Umeadi, Monday, May 4, paid a visit to the Students Union Government of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, with such food as cartons of noodles, cartons of spaghetti, cartons of vegetable oil, cartons of hand sanitizers, bags of salt, yam tubers and a large cash donation, to the student body to run the affairs of the union.
Speaking to newsmen at the event, the Students Union Government Public Relations Officer, Stanley Chukwuma, thanked the Foundation for what it called its prompt and immediate response and benevolence, disclosing that 400 students would benefit from the gesture.

A student of Micro Biology, Miss Chidimma Aniakor, expressed joy at the gesture, noting that it was the first time anyone was remembering them, even as she commended the SUG on their efforts and fairness in the distribution of the items.

A member of the Foundation, Mr Osoluchukwu Umeadi, hailed the chairman of the foundation for his philanthropy, while urging the SUG to generate more ideas that would benefit the students.

In a telephone chat, the chairman of the Foundation, Chief Chinedu Umeadi, thanked the team and urged the SUG executive to use their good offices to develop skills and ideas that would impact positively on the welfare of the students in order to leave a good legacy.

He said his foundation would later organize a leadership, mentorship symposium for youths in the state and urged students to take their studies seriously, as well as to observe all preventive measures against COVID-19
