As Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State marks one year of the second term of his administration, a cross section of the citizenry has been baring their minds on the journey so far.
Speaking to our correspondent in Onitsha, the traditional ruler of Atani in Ogbaru Local Government Area, Igwe Augustine Azuka Ngoddy commended the Governor for restoring people’s confidence in Governance.
According to Igwe Ngoddy, the effective security network of Governor Obiano has rekindled the interest of both local and foreign investors to the State, which he noted will boost the State economy the more.
For the traditional ruler of Ufuma in Orumba North Local Government Area, Igwe Chika S. Uchime said the regular payment of workers salary by the Governor is a clear indication that he has the welfare of the people at heart.
Igwe Chika who described the landslide victory of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, in the just concluded House of Assembly election as a reward for the good governance of Governor Obiano in the State, called on the people to continue with their support and prayer to his administration.
He extolled Governor Obiano for his people oriented programmes and policies, especially the community choose your project initiative which he noted is capable of developing the hinterlands.
It would be recalled that today is the one year anniversary of the second term in office of Governor Willie Obiano.
Governor Obiano was sworn-in on seventeenth March 2018, for another term of four years, following his land slide victory in the eighteenth November 2017 Gubernatorial election where he won in all the twenty-one local government areas of the State.
In his speech, shortly after his inauguration at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, Governor Obiano promised to consolidate on the achievements already recorded by his administration in the State, especially in the areas of security of lives and property, regular payment of workers salary and pension to retirees, improved infrastructure and Human Capital development among others
