The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, has promised the people of Anambra State potable water in their homes by April, 2020.
Obiano said this during his inspection visit, last Monday, to the on-going Otuocha and Obizi Regional Water Schemes project being executed by the Anambra State Government in collaboration with European Union.
The Otuocha Water Scheme, according to the Governor, would cover three communities in the first phase of the project and eight communities in the second phase; while the Obizi Water Scheme would cover over 14 communities with about 40 meters reticulation to the communities.
The Governor was accompanied by the Commissioner for Public Utilities and Water Resources, Engr Emeka Ezenwanne, who also reiterated the Governor’s commitment to ensuring that the people of Anambra State enjoyed potable and clean water in no distant time.
