Ahead of the State Congresses of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Anambra State, Chief Nchekwube Anthony Dunga has been described as the best option to steer the party to greater heights. The Anambra State Chairman of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Mr Anthony Oji, stated this in Awka last Tuesday.
Dunga, who hails from Amansea, Awka North Local Government Area, Anambra State, is a founding member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, seen as a political movement of progressive minded people in Nigeria.
Oji who spoke on behalf of Dunga Support Group, said that Dunga had been an active member of the party for the past 19 years, holding several positions in the party such as Secretary, Amansea Ward 3 for years; Publicity Secretary, Awka North Local Government Area for 4 years; as well as Auditor General, Anambra State APGA for 8 years.
His words, ‘As APGA gears up for her State Congresses on the 23rd of May, 2023, which will usher in new officers of the party, it will be a festival of joy if Chief Nchekwube Anthony Dunga is saddled with the responsibility of serving as the State Chairman of APGA in Anambra State.
‘He is a man of sincerity, integrity and selfless service. As a young man, he has garnered the required experience, capacity, competence, courage, character, humility and goodwill to raise political activities and actions.
He will also galvanize funding for the implementation of such activities and actions that will enable APGA to continue to win elections in Anambra State in the years ahead.’
Oji therefore, appealed to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, as well as the National Chairman of APGA, Ozonkpu Dr. Victor Ike Oye; elected legislators on the platform of APGA, both at the national and state levels; as well as party faithful and stakeholders in Anambra State, to consider Chief Dunga worthy and grant him the opportunity of showcasing his best by working as the next State Chairman of APGA in Anambra State. .
‘As a party stalwart, be rest assured that Dunga will never disappoint the confidence and trust reposed in him.
Chief Nchekwube Anthony Dunga perfectly understands the challenges and weaknesses of the party. He’s got the magic wand to tackle and solve challenges. His loyalty to APGA is undiluted and will never be in doubt,’ Oji further stated.
