Social Communications Department of Nnewi Diocese Visits Fides Media

Few months ago, Lagos Catholic Archdiocese visited Fides Media to understudy Fides production processes and her growing online activities and now, Nnewi Diocese has taken turn to do same. There is no doubt to the fact that Fides Media remains one of the leading media houses amongst other media houses across the dioceses in Nigeria.  The National awards and commendations from the Nigeria Catholic Secretariat to Fides Media over the years affirms this.

While receiving them, the director of Fides Media, Rev. Fr. Martin Anusi, welcomed them to the complex. He thanked them for the last visit Fides media paid to Nnewi Diocese last year. He said that such visit was necessary to help the Communications Department assess their performances and growth. Other Directors of Fides Media are Frs Obinna Dike (Deputy Director I), Cyril Ezeani (Deputy Director II) and Pio- Anthony Okafor (Deputy Director III)

Catcom, Nnewi Diocese; Rev. Fr. Francis Offiah, Deputy Director; Ogechukwu Nnanna and Chinelo Nwadialor visited the office building, the printing press and Fides Farm & Fisheries. The Director, Fr Anusi shared some secrets and gave a brief summary of some policies guiding customers and members of staff. He said that it was necessary for staff to have their credentials and signed letter of undertaking that protect the company against theft issues when they arise. He explained how maintenance of machines and electricity bills posed a serious challenge in running the company.

Also, Fr Anusi recounted how the COVID 19 pandemic has greatly affected them and how the pandemic has served as an eye opener to Fides Management. He added that the company is moving into making money online and creating more online presence through website and social media advertising and marketing. He encouraged the team from Nnewi to delve into online and social media realities. In this regards, the team met with the E- project

personnel and CEO of Zaga Tech, Mr. Prince Joseph Ekwunife, who briefed them on better ways to promote their digital space. The Director talked to the team of how Prince Ekwunife designed the popular Fides App that has been trending and how he is working on kicking the ios-version of the app.

At the Account Department, the Director talked of how the company made use of payment voucher to track her other expenses.  At the branding section, the personnel incharge of the section, Mr. Kingsley Ugwubia, took the team through the processes and stages of branding materials. The team was at the production Department, which is the hub for receiving customers and works. The Production Manager, Chimezie Ibedu told the team of how costing jobs were being done and sent to customers. At the printing press, the team saw the machines and works produced by Fides Media.

The team was amazed on  diversification of  Fides Media especially on their visit to Fides farms and fisheries which exposed them to other sources of income. The priest in charge of the farm and fisheries, Fr. Okafor, told them how Fides started the business and how it has helped the company to grow.

In response, the Director, Fr Onwudiwe, thanked Fides Management for their works and good jobs. He pleaded for cooperation and support when needed. He said that he was amazed about the developmental strides in Fides and hoped to replicate same in his diocese.

In his remarks, the director thanked the team for coming and for finding Fides job wonderful. He thanked his team of captains in Fides, Rev. Frs. Dike, Ezeani and Okafor and the entire members of staff for their unity and cooperation to move Fides to a greater height. He also noted that some dioceses are planning on visiting Fides Media to study her growth and performance.
