The Director, National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, South East Area Office, Alhaji Ahmed Wada Ikaka, MNIM, has urged corps members to steer clear of ethnic and geographic sentiments but rather adopt Nationalistic attitude.
The advice came during his visit to NYSC Anambra Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu as part of his tour of NYSC camps under his jurisdiction last week.
Ikaka who said that the service year is meant to enable them relate well with people outside their ethnic and geographic zones added that the scheme would give them the necessary exposure that would make them great leaders and as such, they should not seek relocation unnecessarily
He further admonished them to give the SAED training the priority it deserves noting that it would help them become self employed. He also challenged them to take their personal security seriously.
He appreciated the corps members and camp officials for the warm welcome and for the uniqueness of the camp.
