The final year students of St Anthony’s Catholic Comprehensive Institute (SACCI) Agulu, were given a farewell party on July 18, 2018 at the school premises, Agulu.
In his homily during the Holy Mass that kicked off the day’s activities, Rev Fr Zoba Obinwata, who anchored the homily on the theme ‘The Lord never abandons his people’, assured the graduating students that God would never abandon them. Fr Zoba who is on mission work in Mali, appreciated the students with excellent results in the last WAEC Examinations. He advised them to continue their studious life and keep away from disturbances that may derail them.
The priest admonished the other students to devote more time to their studies. He implored teachers to always give the best to the students as the students may be their succor in future. He concluded by appreciating the school managers, Rev Frs Ugoo Ngana and Rowland-Victor Okoli for the marvelous work they are doing in SACCI.
In his vote of thanks, the school assistant Manager, Fr Rowland-Victor told the graduating students to always call upon God first in every situation of their lives. He thanked Fr Zoba for joining them on the occasion.
The School Manager, Fr Ngana further advised the passing out students to always aspire to the greatest height. He assured them of the protection of the school patron saint Anthony of Padua.
Dances, songs and Recorder’s” Club Entertainment and presentation of certificates formed the highlights of the occasion.
