The St Anthony Catholic Comprehensive Institute Agulu (SACCIA), marked her patron saint day (St Anthony of Padua), a day after on June 14, 2018, at the school premises.
In his homily during the Holy Mass that started the events, the school assistant manager, Rev Fr Rowland-Victor Okoli urged the students to emulate the holy life of St Anthony. Fr Okoli said St Anthony was passionate about God’s work and died for it. He implored the students to be on fire for noble things like their patron saints and to pray to St Anthony for recovery of lost articles and healing.
Addressing the students, the school manager, Rev Fr Dr Anselm Ngana advised the students to heed what Fr Okoli told them. He assured them that God will never let them down in life. Burning of petitions, sharing of St Anthony’s biscuit and other entertainments marked the occasion.
