Rev. Sr. Dr. Joyce Ezeugo of the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Mercy, DMMM, congregation, as well as an Adazi-Enu born obstetrician and gynecologist, marked her 25 years of religious profession on January 2, 2022. The event witnessed a massive turn out of family, friends, well-wishers and community members.
The celebration started with a Holy Mass celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Adazi-Enu. The homilist, Rev. Fr. Dr. Jehoshaphat Nwankwo, described Rev. Sr. Ezeugo as a gift to the Church and the nation at large owing to the great heights she had attained in her medical profession and how she had massively utilized them to render care, help and love to her community and others.
He further explained that the silver jubilarian was always ready to assist people who needed emergency medical assistance, as well as priests and religious inclusively.
Speaking at the reception held by the Adazi Catholic Community, Sr. Ezeugo expressed joy and gratitude to God and attributed her journey in her religious profession as that filled with the grace of God. The celebrant said consistency and perseverance had kept her over the last 25 years in her vocation.
