The Tansi International College, Awka (TICA) overall best students in SS 2 and in the senior category for the 2017/2018 Academic Year, Cajethan Egbosimba, has appreciated God for his successes in TICA, saying that he left Federal Government College (FGC), Enugu to TICA for academic and moral excellence.
He stated this in an interview with Fides on the occasion of TICA’s 20th Annual Patron Saint Feast, Parents’ and Sponsors Day Celebration, held on January 20, 2019.
Egbosimba, who is currently a SS 3 student of the prestigious Catholic Diocese of Awka-owned Tansi International College, Awka, expressed his delight that his morality has improved drastically due to the excellent all round formation which he was being given in TICA in line with the vision behind the establishment of Catholic schools.
The Agulu in Anaocha L.G.A, Anambra State-born intelligent Cajethan Egbosimba, who had been the overall best student of his class since JS 2 he joined TICA till date, said he was always happy and fulfilled each time he was honoured and appreciated before the public for his giant academic strides.
He identified the grace of God, hard work and his ability to study repeatedly as his secrets to success. This was even as he appreciated his parents for sponsoring his academic formation and his teachers, especially his primary school teacher at ASAF Primary School, Onitsha, Mr. Paul Dibie, who he said laid the foundation of his excellent performance in Mathematics and his Mathematics teacher in TICA, Mr. Paul Nwokoro, saying that they contributed to the success he celebrated.
According to Egbosimba, he was never good in Mathematics, but his primary school teacher, Dibie through his style of teaching, made the subject easier and understandable for him, such that he developed special interest in Mathematics, and had been TICA’s overall best in Mathematics for years.
The TICA overall best, who smiled home with a giant trophy and a cash of N50,000 as the winner of the first edition of Rev Fr. James Okafor Annual Academic Champion Award in TICA, thanked God for his academic successes.
On his plans for the future, the Agulu-born Egbosimba said his dream course of study in the university has been Medical & Surgery owing to his passion for medical care.
Speaking to Fides, Cajethan Egbosimba’s mum, Mrs. Gloria Egbosimba, who said he was very proud of his son, described the celebrated academic giant as quiet, clam, God fearing and intelligent boy.
Mrs. Egbosimba, who was visibly happy over his sons academics successes said, Cajethan Egbosimba had been a very intelligent boy and often took the first position even from the pre-nursery school.
She appreciated the College management for the many academic prizes splashed on his son.
Egbosimba equally extolled Rev. Fr. James Okafor, who sponsored the academic award which his son won for his benevolence, praying God to replenish him abundantly.
Mrs. Egbosimba described the recent award as a very special one, saying that was the first time the College and its sponsors gave very unique gifts to his son.
Baring his minds in an interview, Cajethan Egbosimba’s Mathematics teacher in TICA, Mr. Paul Nwokoro, expressed his joy over his student’s excellent academic performance, saying that he was fulfilled and happy that he had been able to multiply himself in the students.
Nwokoro, who likened his joy to that of a parent that desired his child to do better than him, said Egbosimba’s excellent performance was an indication to the fact that he was doing his work well as a formator and a future parent as expected of him.
He described Cajethan Egbosimba as a cool, hardworking individual, who believed so much in his intelligence and was ever committed to achieving his set goals in life.
