Hon. ThankGod Ibeh has declared intention to run for the governorship race in Anambra State come 2021 on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Hon. Ibeh made this known while playing host to the 21 local government area women's leaders, Orumba North/South APGA executive members, party stakeholders and councilors, in his country home, Awgbu, in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Ibeh thanked the party stakeholders for their loyalty and support in the affairs of the party in both the ward and the LGA level and pledged his unalloyed support towards the development of the party at all levels
The business tycoon used the occasion to inform the party members present, of his intention to contest the 2021 gubernatorial election on the platform of APGA.
According to him, he was excited that the party for the sake of equity had zoned the gubernatorial position to Anambra South. He urged the leadership of the party to do more justice and further zone the position to what he called the youth constituency.
His words, 'Now is the time of the youth. If I am given the opportunity I will continue the good works of the previous APGA governments and lead Anambra to a path of prosperity. I will continue from where Governor Willie Obiano stopped. I am here to serve and not to be served.'
He said he was committed to youth empowerment, women's and children's emancipation and human capital development at all levels, saying that over the years he had continued in his own capacity to empower people.
Speaking during the occasion, the APGA Orumba North LGA chairman, Hon. Sunday Ejiribe, applauded Hon. Ibeh for his courage to contest for Anambra's number one seat.
He thanked him for his commitment to human capital development and youth empowerment, saying that his entrance into the race would further energize and strengthen the party.

The state women's leader, Mrs Gloria Uduefi, pledged her support alongside other women's leaders in all LGAs and ward level who honoured the invitation.
Councilors from Orumba North/South graced the occasion in their numbers.
