The Obiano Administration will complete all on going projects across the state before the end of its tenure in 2022.
This assurance was given by the Director General of the State Project Management and Monitoring Office, Engineer Mike Ogbuekwe, during a chat with journalists.
Ogbuekwe stated that despite the lean resources of the state government, signature projects such as the on-going Cargo Airport, Umueri, and the International Conference Centre, Awka, as well as numerous road projects across the state, would be completed on schedule.
He expressed optimism that the federal government would eventually refund N43billion it owed the state.
The money constitutes funds that were spent over the years by the Anambra State Government on federal roads.
The project management and monitoring DG also expressed satisfaction with the on-going construction of the Second Niger Bridge at the Onitsha-Asaba axis.
He expressed happiness with the pace of work so far and said the community choose-your-project-and-execute initiative of the state government had also recorded what could be described as a grand success.
He pointed out that the impressive delivery of democracy dividends by the Obiano Administration would enhance the chances of the candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the forthcoming general elections in the country.
