Atiku/Obi Ticket: We'll Not Abandon Our Son - Anambra Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo President

The President of the Apex Igbo Socio Cultural Organisation, OHANEZE NDI IGBO, Anambra State chapter, Ichie Damian Okeke-Ogene, has said that they'll not abandon the former governor of Anambra state who was appointed by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar as his running mate.

Chief Ogene who declared the organization's total support for the choice of Mr Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra state as the running mate to the PDP presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in a press briefing in Awka, said it was a right choice as Peter Obi,a worthy son of Igbo had global acceptance.

Ichie Okeke Ogene noted that the organization believed in restructuring of the country to give every zone a sense of belonging having made its stand clear at the south east summit held on 21st May 2018 at Ekwueme square tagged "EKWUEME SQUARE DECLARATION".

He expressed optimism that the so called dissenting voices on the choice of Mr Obi will definitely work with entire ndi Igbo to achieve the set agenda.

The ohaneze chieftain who maintained that the organization is not partisan, advised Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the PDP to ensure that other key political positions are evenly distributed across the political zones of the country to carry everyone along.

He thanked Nigerians for voicing out their acceptance of the joint ticket .
