Christmas is fast approaching and I know we are all tried of the traditional Christmas rice. Not to worry, Fides Kitchen got you covered for this season.
This week on fides kitchen, I present to you what I have named PLANBEEF. This is a yummy fusion of fried beef, fried plantain and spicy tomato sauce. Let me introduce you to the ingredients

RECIPE

3 ripe plantain
500grm beef (parboiled)
5 large Tomatoes
6 red bonnet Pepper
3 medium size Onion bulbs
Red, Green and yellow bell pepper (chopped)
Vegetable oil for frying
1 teaspoon of Curry powder
3 Seasoning cubes
1 teaspoon of Thyme
Salt to taste

PROCEDURE

Blend the tomatoes, fresh pepper and one onion together till semi smooth and set aside. Chop the bell peppers and one onion and set aside.

Cut the plantain in cube shape and the parboiled beef. fry till golden brown and set aside.

Pour vegetable oil into a deep pan, place on medium heat. When hot, add the chopped onions, sauté till translucent, then add the tomato, pepper and onion mix, thyme, curry powder, seasoning cube and salt to taste. Fry for 10-12 minute (be sure to stir every now and ten to prevent burning).

Add in the chopped bell peppers and fry for 3mintues. Add the fried beef then the fried plantain, cook for a minute. Do not cook for too long to avoid the plantain becoming soggy.
Planbeef Is ready for consumption…

Serve as sauce for white rice or small chops idea.
