Peter University Receives Pioneer Students

… Holds First Orientation

In what seemed like a small but awesome start, the Management of the newly founded Catholic University by the Catholic Dioceses of Awka and Ekwulobia, Peter University, Achina/Onneh, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State, has organized a well-planned and inspiring orientation programme for its pioneer students, equipping them for success in their various academic programmes in the University.

The Orientation Programme themed, “Developing the Total Man”, took place from 18 to 20 October 2023 at the Faculty of Law Auditorium of the University and was inclusive of lectures on both academic, moral and other aspects of life as an undergraduate which were delivered to the fresh students by experts in different fields of study.

On the third day of the programme, 20 October 2023, when Fides visited the institution, it was an awe-inspiring sight, as the environment was surrounded by top-notch facilities which included a gigantic building assigned to the Faculty of Law, constituting the Law Library, auditorium, classrooms, moot court, offices, among others.

It also included a large building for administrative functions, a well-furnished cafeteria, a church building, male and female hostel blocks, among other buildings assigned to different faculties and designed to develop spiritually aware intellectuals.

Also some of the staff members and newly admitted students looked ready to carry out their duties and commence their academic activities respectively.
