All for YCS

A catholic priest, Rev Fr Celestine Anaekwe has charged students to wake up from slumber and stop forming who they are not, if they are to excel in life. Fr Anaekwe said this in his homily to Young Catholic Students (YCS) at their convention at St Michael's Model Secondary School Nimo late July 2018.

Fr Anaekwe, who is the manager of St Patrick's College Awka, also urged the young students to seek God's face at all times for proper direction and full actualization of their potentials. Hinging his sermon on 'Why do we always ask God why', he said we easily lose sight of God's omnipotence as can be seen in the feeding of thousands as recorded in the bible. He reminded the students that God is supreme and cannot forget his people.

Fr Anaekwe then enjoined the students to always give the best to their studies so as to be more meaningful with their lives. “Don't try to form what you are not. Read harder to pass your exams. Put effort in your examinations. Be serious in whatever you are doing. The Church is looking up to you as young girls and boys to defend her in every situation. Why don't you calm down and put effort in your life to succeed?” Fr Anaekwe asked. He finally prayed that God would bless YCSers and the Blessed Virgin Mary would intercede on their behalf.
