Vegetable Sandwich - This Week On Fides Kitchen

Still on our breakfast series, this week, I will be teaching you a very simple and mouthwatering breakfast recipe. This recipe is not just delicious is it also appetizing and beautiful.

So, this week I will be teaching you how you can spice up your sandwich to something more interesting and inviting. I will be teaching you how to prepare VEGETABLE SANDWICH. Before we continue, let me introduce you to the ingredient;

VEGETABLE SANDWICH

RECIPE
4 sliced bread
1 hardboiled egg
1 big plum tomato
1 medium size carrot
1 medium size cabbage
Margarine/butter
1 tin sardine
Mayonnaise.

PROCEDURE
Wash all the vegetable very well, scrape the carrot and remove the seeds from the tomato.

In a bowl, grate the carrot and cabbage using the small holes of a grater, Cut the tomato and the hardboiled egg into tiny pieces. Add the mayonnaise to the carrot, tomato, egg and cabbage. Mix well and set aside.

In a separate bowl, mash the sardine with fork and mix the margarine/butter together (don't worry if you like the smell of sardine, the margarine helps reduce the strong smell).

Using bread knife cut off the crusty ends from the slices of bread. Take one slice of bread, spread the margarine and sardine mix on one side of it and cover with the other.

On the other side spread the mayonnaise mix. Repeat with the other slices until you have stack all four slices of bread with these delicious fillings.

Serve with hot coffee or beverage. This recipe can also be packed for picnics.
