An Anambra State House of Assembly aspirant for Aguata 11 State Constituency, Ichie Kevin Maduabuchi Onyema, says time has come for fresh hands to take over and drive the state to her desired destination.
Onyema, who hails from Umuona, told Fides in Awka that he was contesting for the assembly seat of Aguata 11 State Constituency in order to complement the efforts of the state governor, Chief Willie Obiano in the area of delivery of democracy dividends, even as he assured that he would carry everyone along throughout his stay in the house.
The business man turned politician said he would use his vast experience in the business world to introduce new dimensions in the history of representation in Aguata 11 Constituency.
He also promised to regularly hold town hall meetings with his constituents in order to ensure that at every stage he would be executing the mandate of the people.
Onyema said he had chosen the APGA platform because it was one that connected with the people in a way that no other party had done.
‘APGA is more than a party. It is spirit and a mass movement. It is the only party that the Igbo Nation can use to find its bearing in the country,’ he noted, even as he recalled that the emergence of APGA in the state had put a halt to brigandage and bad governance.
He however said it was only people with fresh ideas that would help to actualize the aspirations of the Igbo Nation.
