By Jude Atupulazi

Mark Okoye II, the former Commissioner for Economic Planning, Budget and Development Partners, has sent his good wishes to the government of Anambra over the nomination of her cabinet members.

In a press statement signed by the past cabinet member, he celebrated the quick formation of the Anambra State cabinet, saying that it proved the foresight of the governor.

According to him, to properly execute what he described as an audacious, yet feasible Soludo Solution Agenda for the state, the caliber of intellectuals nominated as cabinet members was a great first step.

‘I deeply appreciate how Mr. Governor quickly constituted his cabinet. From the list of nominees, you can see that he is 100% focused on inviting people to serve with capacity, whose actions and decisions will impact positively on the lives of the electorate.

‘The manifesto of Prof. Soludo is comprehensive, exciting and a game changer for all of Ndi Anambra. To achieve his vision for the state, Mr. Governor requires a strong and highly competent cabinet such as this to drive the implementation across various offices and sectors, so he does not bear the burden of leadership alone.

I believe his cabinet choice is a masterstroke and I hope the State House of Assembly approves it as quickly as possible so they can get working,’ Okoye said.

Okoye also hailed the nominated Commissioner of Lands, Prof. Offornze Amucheazi, SAN, describing his position as well deserved.

‘It is a great honour to all the people of Dunokofia to have our brother and friend recognised and invited to serve in Prof. Soludo’s government. Prof. Amucheazi will do us proud. Developing an effective 21st century technology-driven land administration department is critical to achieving Governor Soludo’s promises to Ndi Anambra. I trust in Prof. Amucheazi to deliver this and more.

He further congratulated his successor, the nominated commissioner for Economic Planning, Budget and Development Partners, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Ben Obidike and Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Ify Obinabo.

‘Immediately I saw the list, I was assured that indeed the Soludo Agenda which I was fortunate to support Governor Soludo on, can and will be implemented with flying colors. I have sent my prayers individually to the commissioners and i promised to do everything to ensure that the Government of Prof. Soludo makes Anambra a livable and prosperous smart mega city that creates abundant economic opportunities for our young men and women in record time.”— he concluded
