A delegation of the apex Igbo umbrella body Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Anambra State Chapter, led by its President, Prince Emeka Udodeme, last Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the Anambra State Government, SSG, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu.
In his remarks, Prince Udodeme commended the State Governor, Chief Sir Willie Obiano, for the various strides and achievements since assumption of office as the Governor of Anambra State.
He stated that the construction of Anambra International Cargo Airport, International Conference Centre, Awka City Stadium and other numerous projects, was an attestation to the delivery of the mandate by the Governor Willie Obiano-led government to the people Anambra State.
Furthermore, Prince Udodeme acknowledged the Governor’s efforts in the areas of security of life and property of the citizens and improved ease of doing business in the state.
He expressed the resolve of the organisation to support the Governor in his administration’s vigorous pursuit of capacity development in all sectors of the economy.
He thanked Professor Chukwulobelu for honouring the organisation’s request to pay a courtesy call on him and for the very warm reception accorded the delegation and prayed God to keep him and grant him success.
Responding, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu thanked the delegation for the visit. He enumerated the plans of Governor Obiano’s administration in maintaining the peace and security Anambra State had enjoyed in the past seven years.
He acknowledged the fatherly role played by Ohanaeze Ndigbo in maintaining peace and harmony in the state and promised to partner with the organization in all government policies and programmes.
