The Caretaker Chairman of Ogbaru Main Market, near Onitsha Anambra State, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu has received commendations for the monumental achievements which he attracted to the Market within few months of his administration.

Part of the achievements was a Borehole water supply commissioned by the President General of Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association ( ASMATA), Chief Ikechukwu Ekwegbalu.

Chief Ekwegbalu who made the commendation while commissioning the resuscitated Borehole described Ochiogu as a peace loving leader who knows what to provide for his followers, even as he urged the Ogbaru Main Market traders to shun violence and embrace peace as they prepare to elect their new executives.

He continued saying that he was not in the Market to campaign for anybody but to commission the efforts of the Caretaker Chairman.

”God’s will must prevail. So, those of you who are gallivanting around should calm down, be disciplined in this fortcoming election. What we want is peace unless we cancel the election,” he stated.

At the event, one of the Market Prayer Team, Brother Ohanebo Pius who preached on the topic titled, ”Behold The Master Is Here” warned the Market election contestants to be careful, having pointed out that the Market leaders had neglected the words of elders.

While Ohanebo reminded the market men and women that a good leader is a servant of God, he stated that there are duties of the elected leaders as  all the Market traders are entrusted to their care. He also advised them to desist from diobolic means of living.

In the booklet titled ” Developmental Stride of Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu,”  compiled by the incumbent Secretary General of the Market, Mr. Bucknor Agu, he unequivocally revealed that no leader in the Ogbaru Main Market since its inception had achieved what Chief Ochiogu achieved within the shortest period as the care-taker Chairman.

He pointed out that successive administration of the Market neglected the essence of dividends of good leadership which he said the previous regime ignored and noted that Ogbaru Main Market traders are lucky to have Chief Ochiogu as the Caretaker Chairman.

Mr. Agu who doubles as the assistant secretary aspirant in the fortcoming Market Election, averred that Chief Ochiogu is conveniently working harmoniously with 39 other Care-taker committe members which according to him is the largest executives ever recorded in the History of the Market.
