Fifteen postulants were ordained Deacons in the Anglican Diocese of Awka, by the Bishop of Awka Diocese, the Right Reverend Alexander Chibuzor Ibezim.
The Trinity Ordination was co-hosted the Anglican Church of the Pentecost and Church of the Holy Spirit, Awka.
Bishop Ibezim who is the incoming Archbishop of Niger Province, asked deacons to strengthen the faithful and search out the careless and indifferent ones to preach the word of God in any place they were deployed.
He urged them to serve the Church of God and to work with her members in caring for the poor, the needy, the sick and all who were in trouble.
The Preacher and Retreatant, Right Reverend Jacob Bada of Etsako Diocese, charged the newly ordained to be focused and carry out their responsibilities diligently, as well as eschew earthly quest for material wealth.
Right Reverend Bada enjoined Christians not to joke with the things of God and Pastors in their families, urging them to support their Priests in achieving their callings.
One of the newly ordained and the husband of Amaka Obi of the ABS, Reverend Chukwukadibia Obi, on behalf of others, said that God had fulfilled the mission for which he sent them to the world, assuring that their ministries would be guided by the Holy Spirit.
