Odinamadu Joins Race for Eze Okpoko II of Oba, Promises Intra-city Road Projects, Empowerment Too

One of the illustrious sons of Oba and a royal cabinet member, Chief Samuel Odinamadu, Ikeora  Oba has joined the race for the vacant royal stool-Eze Okpoko II of Oba.

He was at the Civic Centre, Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State to pick a form, officially inform the Oba Patriotic Union (OPU) and the entire Community of his interest in being a candidate for the position.

Chief Odinamadu, popularly known as Ikeora Oba and one of the youngest contestants from Okuzu-Umuezeokpala village promised to embark on intensive road projects and foster unity and peace in the Community.

“Today I, my relatives and friends are here to accompany me to pick the form for the Eze Okpoko II of Oba contest.

“I have been working in the interest of Oba even while our late Igwe Ezenwa of blessed memory as his youngest cabinet chief and I will continue to do more.

“I have already awarded the complete construction/tarring of Onwuamaegbu Road and promise to rally my friends to ensure the tarring of all Oba Community roads starting from the much politicised Afor Uzo Road.

“I will ensure peace, unity, Youth/women empowerment and development just as I have been doing in Okuzu-Umueze Okpala, my own village,” he vowed.

His wife, Mrs. Chineze Odinamadu pleaded with Oba people to endorse Ikeora Oba saying that he carries people along and would transform Oba into an industrial city to create employment opportunities.

Meanwhile, the President General OPU, Rev. Chris Emelie advised people to desist from addressing contestants as Igwe Eze Okpoko II stressing that the official general campaign had yet to start

“General campaign has not begun. This stage is the period for interested candidates to pick Eze Okpoko II forms although they can seek the support of their kindred and immediate villages,” he said.
