Obiano Receives Reconciliation Committee’s Report

….Inaugurates 5-Man Implementation Committee

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, reconciliation committee has concluded its report and presented same to Governor Willie Obiano who is the BoT Chairman and leader of the party. The event took place at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.

The 10-man committee set up by the Governor and chaired by Dr Uju Okeke, was given two weeks to look into the matter.

To further look into the report, Governor Obiano set up a five member committee to look into the report for immediate implementation.

Members of the committee included Mr Primus Odili; Chief Greg Obi; Mr. Confidence Azodo; Barrister Ifeatu Obi-Okoye and Sir Norbert Obi.

The five-man Committee was given a week’s time frame. Governor Obiano, while appreciating the members of the committee for their methodology, assured them of immediate implementation of the report.

The Governor noted that from the feelers he was getting from other states where APGA had presence, the reconciliation was moving fine, as the party had prospects of winning elections in those states.

He called on aggrieved parties to simmer down, assuring that he was deeply committed to carrying everybody along in line with the party’s mantra to ensure resounding victory in future elections.

Presenting the report earlier, Dr Okeke said that making peace was topmost in their minds while they conducted their findings, saying that they met with aggrieved political appointees, executives, aspirants and candidates and advised them to go down to their wards to do the needful.

Recall that sequel to the party primaries, Governor Obiano set up the Committee on the eighth day of November this month to address the various issues arising from the primaries which had threatened to tear the party apart.
