The Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, has again shown his determination to change things in Anambra State.
The governor on Monday announced that the new International Conference Centre, Awka, will on 17th March host the swearing in of the Governor-Elect, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
Alex Ekwueme Square has over the years, almost since 1999, been the venue for the swearing-in of all successive governors in the state.
The ICC is another legacy project of Governor Willie Obiano administration, and is being positioned as venue to host the swearing-in ceremony of the Governor-Elect, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.
Governor Obiano stated this, Monday, 3rd January, 2022, during an inspection visit to the project.
He embarked on the visit with some cabinet members of the traditional ruler of Aguleri.
While noting that his motivation for the architectural design of the project was the popular ‘American Still Jet’ which moved silently, Governor Obiano explained that it was one of the best in the American military arsenal, expressing his belief that it was a replica of an average Anambra indigene.
The governor projected that with the airport in place, the Centre would be viable and put to use all year round, saying that he believed that the contractor was competent enough to deliver on the project.
