According to the National President he was in Anambra State to bring about lasting peace and as well informed all those interested in vying for one position or the other to get prepared, adding that Local Government areas election would take place within 21 days beginning from the day of his visit.
Olatunji stated that Chikwelu’s performance had endeared him to the national leadership and should be encouraged and supported, noting that anyone who was squaring up against him should allow him to carry on with his good works, even as he wondered why people should not respect a constituted authority and also follow strictly the constitutional provisions guiding the Union.
The NULGE National President while Chasitizing members announced that forms for the election at all levels were free of charge, saying that it was made free to enable everyone to contest any position of their choice.
‘Those who are moving from one court to another should wait for the outcome of the judgement of the Court of Appeal. A case is pending in law court they should comport themselves and stop disturbing the peace of NULGE Anambra State. It is wrong to be fighting a lost battle. Chikwelu is my number one in Anambra State. We are pleased with him. He is the only recognized NULGE President in Anambra State. We have no other person except him. Those angling to replace or dethrone him should wait for the day of election and test their popularity. A level playing ground will be giving to all the contestants,’ Olatunji concluded
