NUJ EXCO Visits Ezeemo

The newly elected executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra Council this afternoon paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Godwin Chukwunenye Ezeemo at his Potters Business Park, Umuchu, in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The Union members led by its Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Ifesinachi, KSJI, JP were ushered into the Conference Hall with warm reception.

The entrance of Godwin Ezeemo was greeted with a thunderous applause by the executive members of the Union.

Speaking during the visit, Sir Ifesinachi said the reason for their visit was to intimate him with happenings in the Union and also to present the newly elected exco to him.

‘There is no way we will not visit a man who singlehandedly built a World Class Press Centre at Awka and donated to NUJ Anambra State Council,’ he said.

Responding, Mr.  Ezeemo appreciated the Executive members for their visit, even as he advised them to change the face of the Union by operating an all-inclusive government as well as shun reckless spending, adding that NUJ as the Fourth Estate of the Realm remained the watchdog of society.

In a vote of thanks, the Secretary of the Union, Comrade Emma Udeagha appealed to  their benefactor to visit the complex he built for the Union to ascertain level of development recorded so far by the leadership.

Contributing, the Treasurer of the Union,  Comrade Abuchi Onwumelu appreciated Ezeemo as an employer of labour and as a man who has done so much for journalists in Anambra State and beyond.

‘You did not only build a press centre for the pen pushers in Anambra State you also engaged many journalists in your establishment,’ he said.
