The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Nze Uche Nworah, has been commended by the State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, for Nworah's efforts in transforming the state-owned media outfit.
The event which took place at the Executive Chambers during last Monday's State Executive Council Meeting, also saw Nworah receiving a Certificate of Commendation from the Governor.
Governor Obiano, while presenting the certificate, said Nworah merited the award, as under his watch, he had transformed the station, a situation he said, had justified the amount of money and efforts put into the station.
He called on him to continue to do well, as his government was poised to do more for the station, in preparation to launching the station on the DSTV platform, as well as twenty four hour broadcasting. Obiano urged the members of staff to continue to give him the needed support.
Chief Nworah who appreciated the Governor and members of the State Executive Council, pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him.
He also appreciated his immediate family, including his wife and children, Staff and Management of the state broadcast medium, saying that their sacrifices added to bringing him to the present pedestal.
It will be recalled that during Governor Obiano's parley with select members of staff of ABS recently, the Governor promised to present the commendation letter to Chief Nworah for his efforts at the station.
