The Awka Diocese Priests Fraternity (ACDPF) has handed over leadership to her new executives members, The hand over was held on Saturday, 13th April 2019, at the ACDPF project center, Amokpala, Orumba North L.G.A, Anambra State. The immediate past Chairman of ACDPF, Rev Fr Charles Umeoji, thanked his team for their tireless efforts towards the project. This was even as he welcomed the incoming executives and charged them to join hands together to work towards the actualization of their Hostel project. The Immediate past Chairman, Fr Umeoji stated that the hostel project was at window level when they took over and it's now 80% completed.
He listed out some of the project being carried out by the past Administration which included, purchase of three plots of land, eight orthopedic foams for Elderly Priest Welfare Home', workshop for ACDPF priests and subsequent production of summit papers called Catholic Diocese of Awka at 40'' to commemorate 40 ,'years of the creation of the diocese', Truck and medium concrete mixer, #500 thousand Naira donation for maintenance and refurbishment Priests, Lawn Tennis Court,; Monthly visits of Diocesan Regional Priests to elderly Priests at the welfare home, annual disbursement of token to elderly Priests at the welfare home as well as Priests with health challenges, appreciation Plaques for all past executives from the time(ANIMAE) to current ACDPF. Fr umeoji urged the incoming executives to be dedicated so as to achieve their goals.
On his part, the new Chairman, Rev Fr Peter Val Uzoezie commended them for their achievements towards the project, He solicited the support of the outgoing executive Members as they would be of great help in carrying out the tasks been bestowed on them.
