The Fides Google Personnel and Nigeria Representative of Google Crowdsource, Miss Uchechukwu Enem has organized the first Nigeria Crowdsource Meet up on Saturday, 23 March 2019 at Fides Communication Complex, Nodu, Okpuno.
The Nigeria Google Crowdsource Representative, during the meetup, explained how Google Crowdsource platform could be used to improve our cultural values and heritage. She explained each module of the application which are: Image label Verification, Sentiment evaluation, Handwriting recognition, Translation, Translation Validation and Image Capture, as the various modules used to improve Google Crowdsource. She also noted that image capturing is the most important aspect of the Google Crowdsource.
She added that the programme was launched late 2017 with the purpose of improving other Google apps and aiding Artificial Intelligence (AI). She said that the Google Crowdsource is an easy app with little data consumption. She advised the entire participants to key into the new product and become part of Google Crowdsource.
As questions were entertained, Miss Enem also exposed them to some other Google products like Google Map, Google Local Guides Connect, Google Street View, Google My Business, Google Digital Skills and other online marketing tools that help in enhancing online presence of an organization. It would be recalled that Miss Enem is the First Female Google Street View Photographer in Nigeria and the Founder of Awka Local Guides. Some of the Awka Google Local Guides who were present at the meetup also shared their experiences and benefits in engaging in Google activities.
Prior to the event, Uchechukwu Enem spoke to Fides Management and Members of Staff on 18th March 2019, during the 1st Fides Management and Staff Meeting, where she briefly spoke about Google Crowdsource, Google Local Guides and other Google Products. Google Local Guides are people who voluntary add places on the Google map by enriching the map with photos, reviews and edits.
