Committee members, Udo and Oganiru Campaign Organization of Engr. Obinna Nwafor, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Candidate for Anambra State House of Assembly in Orumba South Constituency, has been inaugurated with call to galvanize support for the APGA Candidate ahead of the March 2 election.

The support group which has over 15 present and past political officer holders in the area as advisers and leaders of the various committees of the campaign organization, also has about 20 ward coordinators and 15 promoters in each ward spread across the various towns making up the constituency.

Notable among the committee leaders who will see to the day-to-day activities of the campaign group to ensure victory for APGA candidates are Hon. Ben Nwankwo, member Representing Orumba North/South in Federal Constituency; former Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Engr. Emeka Sibeudu; member representing Orumba South in state House of Assembly, Hon. Princess Nikky Ugochukwu; Anambra Commissioner for Environment, Arc. Mike Okonkwo; Hon. Oiver Thambo Okafor; Hon. Sir G.N Muotolu; Hon. Sir Ben Oranusi and Dr. Foster Ihejiofor.

Others include Hon. Barr. Chidozie Anyagafu; Hon. Samuel Smith Okpara; Hon. Sir Chris Amah; Hon. Barr. Bennett Ibekwe; Mr. Jude Umunnakwe; Mr. Arinze Onwuzurike and Mr. Chukwueike Okeke.

The newly inaugurated members of Udo and Oganiru Campaign group in unison vowed to work assiduously in their various wards to market their candidate and assured the APGA Candidate, Engr. Obinna Nwafor, that victory was guaranteed.

The inauguration of the various committees was held last Sunday at Grace and Joseph event center, Ezira, Orumba South LGA, Anambra State.

Inaugurating the various committees, the highest political officer in Orumba North/South Constituency and Senior Special Adviser of Udo and Oganiru Campaign Organization, Hon. Ben Nwankwo, charged the members to be good foot soldiers in their various wards, especially in the ongoing general elections. He noted that the activities of the newly inaugurated members of the campaign organization would centre on educating people on how to cast their votes and the benefits of voting Engr. Nwafor, who, he said, was more qualified than any other candidate to represent the people.

In an interview, Hon. Nwankwo explained that the inaugurated men and women had worked for the party in the past and had proven record of loyalty and commitment to the party, noting that it was the reason why they were chosen. He expressed optimism that Engr. Nwafor would be focused on the political challenges of the people.

Speaking to Fides, the APGA House of Assembly Candidate in Orumba South Constituency, Engr. Obinna Nwafor, revealed that the event was put together in a bid to inaugurate people who would pilot the affairs of his campaign and ensure that the campaign message got to all the nooks and crannies of Orumba South.

He noted that the big shots in Orumba South were part of those inaugurated as leaders and special advisers of the campaign organization sequel to the value they would add.

He expressed belief that the inaugurated members of the campaign organization would achieve the set goal.

He assured people of the area that he would offer effective and people-oriented leadership that would cut across all areas of the economy and project peace and progress which were his core cardinal points. He identified youth and women empowerment as his starting point, saying that when youths were gainfully employed, other issues would be easily managed.

Addressing the inaugurated members of Udo and Oganiru campaign team, Sir. G.N. Muotolo described the late father of the candidate as a good man who advocated peace and progress in the community during his life.

For his part, the secretary of the Campaign organization, Hon. Engr. Frank Emeka Offor, stated that with the inauguration, members had been empowered to go into the field and galvanize support for their candidate. He urged the members to embark on door to door campaign strategy and win the election for APGA.

The inaugurated members while pledging alliance to the APGA candidate, vowed to put more effort to ensure victory for their candidate.
