Fight Against Illicit Drugs: We'll Not Spare Politicians, Campaign Offices, Individual Houses - NDLEA Boss

The Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Anambra State Commander, Mr. Sule Momodu, says the agency will not spare any politician caught indulging in illicit drugs as well as exposing youths to hard drugs, noting that the command had so far arrested twenty suspected drug peddlers across the state. 

The NDLEA Anambra State Commander who made this known in Awka while intimating newsmen on the preparedness of the Command for the forthcoming general elections described drug abuse as one of the major contributory factors fueling pre-election and post-election violence, even command would not also fail to raid  campaign offices and individual houses found to be harbouring drug peddlers and abusers. 

He enjoined community leaders, traditional rulers and villagers to endeavour to release useful information that would enable them rid the communities of drug traffickers and abusers. He said the command placed high premium on protection of their identity and sources, noting that they were collaborating with the sister agencies to ensure violent free general elections
