The Anambra State Police Command has arrested suspected killers of one Ifeanyi Nwanga at Ifitedunu, in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State.
In a release signed by the command's Public Relations Officer (PPRO) on behalf of the commissioner of police, CP Garba Baba Umar, said following the an intelligence report, operatives attached to the Federal Special Anti robbery Squad (FSARS), Akwuzu, recently arrested the syndicate at Ire village, Ogidi, in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State.
The names of members of the syndicate are Chimezie Aronu, 'm', aged 22 years; Uchenna Obiora, 'm', aged 18 years and, Chibuike Omankwu, 'm', aged 20 years.
According to them, the syndicate confessed to the crime and also led the Police to the place where they hid the alleged weapon used in perpetrating the act.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects included one cut to size single barrel gun and one cartridge.
The Case, Fides gathered, is under investigation after which the suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.
The command also said that following an intelligence report, Police operatives attached to the Command's Special Anti Cult Unit, arrested one Chidioke Chinedu, 'm', aged 22 years, of Enugu Ukwu in Njikoka LGA of Anambra State.
The police said the suspect was arrested with a stolen motorbike which Chidioke Chinedu and his gang members previously stole from their victim.
The Police said the case was under investigation and that efforts were ongoing to apprehend other fleeing accomplices in order to bring them to Justice.
