The Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidate for Aguata II Constituency Seat in the 2019 State House of Assembly Election, Comrade Emma Ezeokafor, has said that he will anchor his representation on the fear of God, if given the mandate to serve.

Ezeokafor, a grassroot crusader and mobilizer, who spoke with journalists at Akpo in Aguata L.G.A, Anambra State recently, said he would bring his religious background to bear in the service-oriented representation he would give the people of Aguata II at the state assembly.

He said that with the way and manner in which the country was being governed, it required people with proven integrity intrepid to speak the truth irrespective of whose ox is gored to take up various political positions.

The Oraeri, Aguata-born aspiring legislator acknowledged the fact that those who had represented the constituency did tremendously well. Ezeokafor said he would introduce what he termed consultative representation, where the people would be major stakeholders in the scheme of things. He added that he would on quarterly basis give his constituents account of his stewardship, if elected into the legislative position.

Comrade Ezeokafor maintained that his representation would create a platform for discussions and cross-pollination of ideas with his constituents for them to assess his performance. This was even as he added that the platform would give him first-hand information on the needs of his constituency and the impacts of his representation on the constituents.

On his assessment of level of federal government presence in Anambra state, the YPP candidate observed that the State had had not witnessed robust federal government presence. He equally observed that APC-led Federal Government had not given good attention to developments in the APGA-led Anambra State Government.
