As the 2019 General Elections are few weeks to go, the Young Progressive Party (YPP) Candidate for Anambra South Senatorial Seat in the February 2019 Senatorial Election, Dr. Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah and his Aguata II Constituency counterpart for the February 2019 House of Assembly Election, Comrade Emma Ezeokafor, have restated their commitments to give their constituents representations that will have human face.

Ubah and Ezeokafor, who spoke at the 2019 Annual Catholic Diocese of Awka Priests' New Year Get-together held at the diocesan-owned Peter University, Onneh, Orumba South L.G.A, Anambra State on January 9, 2019, said they were in the senatorial and legislative race for the interest of the masses.

According to Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah who is the Chairman /CEO of Capital Oil and Gas Ltd and FC Ifeanyi Ubah, among other conglomerates, he is vying for the senatorial seat to give the Anambra South Senatorial District that purposeful, quality and service-orientated representation they had lacked for the past twelve years.

He decried the ineffective and very poor representation which a particular family of the zone had given the masses for the 12 years they had occupied the senatorial seat, saying that Anambra South Senatorial District was not a family business.

Ubah, who had a deeply rooted Catholic foundation, and stood as the only individual to single handedly embark on a cathedral project in Nigeria, said he would protect the interest of the Catholic Church and the Igbos.

He noted that his representation would within a short while, ensure the common man and the entire citizenry of Anambra South Senatorial District, benefitted from the positive dividends which would be translated into improved wellbeing, provision of basic infrastructure and empowerment.

Ubah, who emphasised the need for an improved economy for all, said one of his agenda in the Senate was to recover the Igbo economy.

The YPP Anambra South Senatorial Candidate, who is singlehandedly building the cathedral for Catholic Diocese of Nnewi, donated in support of the Peter University project.

Adding his voice, the YPP Candidate for Aguata II Constituency, Comrade Ezeokafor, said Ubah and himself were committed to human capital advancement and purposeful representation.

He noted that they have offered themselves for quality representation with human face, and called on all the electorate to, with their votes give them the mandate for that service-orientated representation the Church and the masses would be proud of.

Comrade Ezeokafor, who served as the immediate past President of Catholic Laity Council of Nigeria, Awka Diocese (CLCNAD); a former Acting President of Catholic Men's Organisation (C.M.O), Awka Diocese and a former President, Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON), Awka Diocese, has been commended for his service-orientated, purposeful, effective and quality leadership.
