Special Adviser on Events to Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, Hon. Sir Anthony Ugoji popularly known as Okigbo Mbem has unveiled a new music album titled 'Olu Oma Jeso'.
The music album which was unveiled and launched on January 2, 2018 at Eke Nri Market Square, Anaocha LGA, Anambra State coincided with the re-election campaign organized Okigbo Member for Senator Victor Umeh, APGA Candidate for Anambra Senatorial district and Hon. Dozie Nwankwo, APGA Candidate for Anaocha/Njiokaka Federal Constituency.
The newly unveiled album marketed by Blessed Melody, #94 Iweka Road Onitsha, and distributed by C. J products, Zik Avenue, Amawbia was recorded by Akpamma Studios.
Fides gathered that the album with five tracks namely Olu Oma Jesu, Odu Ka Odu Kposa ahia, Amosu Egbuna mmadu, Sopulu Nne na Nna and Mebe Ezigbo Ife was laced with numerous moral lessons meant for the effective repositioning and re-orientation of all ages in a bid to make human society a better place to dwell in.
Speaking to Fides, Sir Anthony Ugoji popularly known as Okigbo Mbem explained that his album titled 'Olu Oma Jesu' was an advise to people, saying that it would enable people to underscore the mercy of God and ability to do all things. He urged people to always pray to God for all their needs as he has the capacity of all things provided one's faith was solidified in God.
The singer noted that 'Olu Oma Jesu' which was his 15th music album but third of his recorded albums would help to restore the pride of Igbo music in the world were people seems to have been carried away by secular music. He revealed that the lesson which 'Olu Oma Jesu' was laced with would assist people to have a review of their earthly existence and channel their energy in things that would be beneficial to persons.
He disclosed that the unveiling was put together with the re-election campaign of Senator Victor Umeh and Hon Dozie Nwankwo to showcase the benefits which people from Njioka/Anaocha/Dunukofia Federal Constituency and Anambra Central Senatorial have derived from the duo's effective representation. He beckoned on the people to always put the interest of their community at heart when voting rather than electing money bags who have nothing to offer their various communities.
Also Speaking, Hon. Dozie Nwankwo who was represented by Sir Clem Nwafor noted that Okigbo Mbem's style of music which was different from others would contribute in the promotion of Igbo Language and Culture. He said that music album which has a human touch would help people to develop complete trust in God.
On his part, Sir Linus Ezeani, said that the music would have great impact in the culture of Ndigbo especially in restoring the dying culture of igbos, noting that people through the song would come closer to God.
The album unveiling which witnessed the presence of Senator Victor Umeh attracted various important personalities in Anambra State and beyond.
