Okolo Cajetan Foundation Hosts Christmas Party for Three Orphanages

Okolo Cajetan Foundation, a non-governmental organization has hosted Christmas party for three orphanage homes in Anambra State in a bid to boost the Christmas Celebration and offer Children in the Orphanage homes reason to celebrate the season.

The party was organized for children at Model community children's daycare center, Tender Love community children's daycare center and the Faith community children's daycare Centre on 29th and 30th December, 2018.

Fides observed that children in the visited community daycare Centers were thrilled with joy as they celebrated and received various gifts from Santa Claus which the foundation took along during the visit. It also gathered that Okolo Cajetan foundation which was solely established for orphan and vulnerable children, has been giving assistance to some orphanage homes owned by the State government, Mission and others within Anambra State since 2017.

The Awka Allies which are group of Friends and professional partners to the Executive Director and founder of Okolo Cajetan foundation, Engr. Okolo Chidiebere Cajetan accompanied the foundation to Model Community Children's Daycare Centre, Awka and supported the foundation's orphanage apostate with lots of gift and entertainment for the children.

Speaking at Model Community Children's Daycare Center, Cajethan Okolo appreciated the Coordinators and care givers at the visited community children's daycares within Awka. He urged to them to more love and affection for the children who are in their homes, saying that love was required to ensure the holist development of children in homes. He praised the efforts of Engr. Chinedu Okoye among others who have been supporting the NGO's activities its inception.

In his words, 'this is party is to ensure that the children in the orphanage homes feel the impact of Christmas like Children in conventional homes with parents and relatives all round them. I have great passion for kids and pray other people would develop this passion for us to provide the desired care which they require.

I want to appreciate the Anambra State government, the First lady of the state and the commissioner for Social Development, Children and Women affairs for all their efforts in accommodating all these children in their homes. From our investigations, all these children are legally residing in the homes through the support of the Anambra State government. We also want to appeal to the state government to boost the educational, medical, personnel and other facilities in the home. This boost would ensure the holist development this children who are part and parcel of our society.' he stated.

He also urged the Anambra State government to improve the educational, medicals, basic amenities, personnel (staff) training and the general welfare of the children in these orphanage homes especially in the government owned homes.

He vowed that Okolo Cajetan foundation will continue working tirelessly by supporting the Anambra State government in the good work which they were doing for the children to ensure that their future were protected.

Also speaking, the Coordinator of Awka Allies, Mr Oguegbe Chinaemelum appreciated Okolo Cajetan foundation and the entire staff of the Community Children homes for their efforts in looking out for the children at the home. He promised that the Allies would provide the needed support required by Okolo Cajetan foundation and the Anambra state government to ensure that it address the needs of the orphanage children especially in
