As part of his constituency projects, the legislator representing Aguata I Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Dr. Ikechukwu Umenwa, has built and donated 20 open stalls to Nkpologwu Town in Aguata L.G.A, Anambra State.
The 20 modern open stalls which were situated at Nkpologwu Market Square, according to the legislator, were built from his constituency project fund, as part of democracy dividends due to his constituents of the community.
Handing over the project to the town recently, Hon. Umenwa said the project met the needs of the people. He noted that the people had requested he build open stalls for them where they would sell their wares, when he asked them their pressing needs he could attend to.
The legislator urged Nkpologwu Community to maintain the open stores, saying that people who often adapt proper maintenance culture, usually save extra expenditure costs.
Receiving the 20 open stalls on behalf of the town, the President General of Nkpologwu Town, Prof. Romanus Ezeokonkwo, commended Hon. Umenwa for his generousity and love towards the community.
Prof. Ezeokonkwo, who was represented by Hon. Eugene Ezeobi, a former Aguata Transition Committee member that represented Nkpologwu, requested for more needed projects to be carried out in the community, to enable Nkpologwu enjoy stable democracy dividends.
This was even as he appreciated the Transition Chairman of Aguata LG Council, Hon. Eche Ezeibe and other dignitaries that were part of the handover ceremony for their graceful presence.
