The 2018 edition of Hon. Pharm Obinna Chris Emeneka's annual free medical outreach ended, Nov 3, at Nando Town Hall with praises and testimonies from stakeholders and beneficiaries. The exercise saw the Medical Team tour all the communities in Anambra East State Constituency where Hon. Pharm Obinna Chris Emeneka represents.
The event was heralded with a courtesy call to the traditional ruler of Nando, Igwe Nnaluo Nnaba (Ezeodibeve IV) by the Medical Team. While offering royal prayers for his guests, the monarch, represented by Chief Bonnie Nnaba, thanked God for the gift of 'an outstanding son (Hon. Emeneka) to Nando community' and prayed for divine guidance and protection for him in all his endeavours.
In his speech, the leader of All Nando Political Movement, Chief Onyeachonam Ufomba eulogised Hon. Emeneka for his unprecedented achievements as a legislator in the history of lawmaking in Anambra State. He urged him to sustain his good work for which he was known, noting that Nando people were proud of him.
On behalf of Nando Community, a goat was presented to Ijele Omabala, as Emeneka is fondly called, in appreciation of his giant strides in Nando and Anambra East.
Some community stakeholders present at the venue were the Deputy Chairman, Anambra East Transition Committee, Hon. Beatrice Onuora; Chief (Sir) John Iwuno, President, Nando Youths; President General Abube - Agu Nando; party chairmen, and many others.
In his brief remarks, the Emeneka thanked God for the grace of giving him the opportunity to impact positively on the lives of his people .He appreciated the people of Nando and the entire Anambra East for their show of love and massive support for him whenever he called upon them.
The event ended with a colourful display of Omabala dancing steps by the women's wing of Chinemeze Support Group.
