Rev Fr. Jude Onebunne Bags ISMF Fellowship Award

An academia and Awka Diocesan Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Dr. Jude Ifeanyichukwu Onebunne, fism was on Thursday, October 18, 2018, honoured with a Fellowship Award by the International Strategic Management Institute (ISMI).

The newest award which was conferred on him on the occasion of the 3rd Biennial Conference of ISMI, held at Fantasy Hotels, Ugbor Road, GRA, Benin City, was in recognition of Fr Onebunne's years of committed membership and contributions towards the growth of the Institute.

Strategy, Development and Good Governance. Intellectual Capital: The key to personal & corporate growth, was the theme of the conference which had the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki as the Special Guest of Honour.

The certificate of the award was presented to Rev. Fr. Dr. Jude Onebunne, fism, the Director, Membership Development of the Institute, Professor Ibrahim Yahaya, who is from Sokoto, on behalf of the Director General of International Strategic Management Institute (ISMI), Dr. Christabel Nkechi Nnaemeka, before the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Institute, Comrade Yaro Jezhi, from Kano.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director General of ISMI, Dr. Nnaemeka, acknowledged what she described as Fr. Onebunne's untiring and unquantifiable contributions to the success of the Institute. She noted that Rev Fr Onebunne, fism, has been outstanding in his commitment towards the development of the institute.

In his response, the newest Fellowship Awardee of ISMI, Rev Fr. Dr Jude Onebunne, fism, who is the manager of St Mary's High School, Ifitedunu, Dunukofia L.G.A, Anambra State, said the institute has done a lot in his life, as one who is in the academia, saying that the name of the Institute alone, strategizes one for a better future. He noted that the award would spur him to excellence in line with the Institute's mission, vision and core values.

Rev. Fr. Dr. Onebunne, fism, who had organized a successful conference for ISMI at Enugu in 2016, and was at Akure in August, 2018, appointed a member of the BoT of the Institute with the post of a Deputy Director, said he felt honoured and elated over the Fellowship Award which was of great importance in the professional Institute.

Fides gathered that the Guest Speaker at the conference, Johnson Faromoju from Lagos was also honoured with the same Fellowship Award. This was even as few other individuals were recognized as Associate Fellows while many undergraduates were recognized as Certificate Members and Associate Members.

ISMI which is a core professional human capital developmental organization, duly registered under the Laws of Nigeria in 2013, has to create management business moguls (CZARS) in all fields of human endeavours as its vision, and equipping individuals and organisations with world class managerial values and best practices as its mission.

Knowledge, integrity and hard work were the core values of the Institute, which currently has six directorates. Among the directorates were Directorate of Legal & Strategy, Directorate of Corporate Information, Directorate of African Regional Programme and Directorate of Research & Curriculum Development.
