The Catholic bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor recently paid his monthly scheduled visit to the elderly priests residing at the Priest's Welfare Home, located at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, behind Government House, Awka.

Bishop Ezeokafor during the monthly visit which usually started with Eucharistic celebration, enjoined the elderly priests not to hesitate to inform him about their needs and challenges with a view of solving it for them.

Bishop Ezeokafor showed the elderly priests fatherly love, noting that though, they had retired, it was a prayer of every worker that a day shall come when they would rest and enjoy their achievements.

Interacting with the priests shortly after the Holy Mass, Bishop Ezeokafor urged the lay men and women to visit and donate for the upkeep of the priests who, he said, had served God and man with all their strength and youthfulness.

Bishop Ezeokafor prayed God to bless all those who would contribute for the upkeep of the elderly priests.
