Newly Inaugurated Support Group Vows to Return Umeh in 2019

The newly inaugurated Senator Victor Support Group of Abatete Ward has vowed to see that the member representing Anambra Central Senatorial District in the senate, Senator Victor Umeh, returns to the Red Chamber come 2019.

The twenty-two member coordinators of Senator Victor Umeh Support Group, Abatete Ward, who were inaugurated on Saturday, August 18, at residence of Hon. Stanley Nkworka in Abatete, said their activities would centre of publicizing the achievements of Senator Umeh to ensure he continued with the qualitative representative being enjoyed by the people.

Felicitating with Hon. Nkwoka, the SSA on Environment who organized the ceremony, the Commissioner for Environment in Anmbra State, Mr. Mike Okonkwo, charged the newly inaugurated group to work as a family and ensure that Senator Umeh returned to the National Assembly in the 2019 general elections.

Addressing the gathering, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Environment said he was interested in Senator Umeh because he liked identifying with success stories.

He disclosed that he organized the inauguration of the support group as the highest political office holder in the community. He said it was time Abatete indigenes, especially APGA faithful in the community, came together to ensure that all aspirants under the APGA platform, starting from Sen. Umeh, achieved 100% success in the upcoming 2019 general elections.

He expressed conviction that Sen. Umeh, following the antecedents recorded within his short stay in the Senate would do better when returned for another tenure.

For his part, the Director-General of Senator Victor Umeh Campaign Organization, Prince Emeka Udodeme, said Senator Umeh had not spent up to year at the National Assembly but had touched many lives and expressed conviction that he would continue to offer effective representation to people in Anambra Central Senatorial district.

He disclosed that Sen. Umeh had mapped out plans to sponsor 10 persons from each of the seven local government areas that make up the Senatorial District from primary to university level and would also give 100 women in each of the communities one hundred thousand naira each to start up or maintain their businesses.

Inaugurating the Abatete Ward of Senator Victor Umeh Support Group, the chairman of the group in Idemili North LGA, Mr. Eloka Elosi, charged them to be good foot soldiers, especially as 2019 general elections were by the corner.

Speaking to Fides, the secretary of the newly inaugurated group, Hon. Amaka Adike, who hails from Ezimoko Agbaja, said the community would put more effort to ensure that the re-election of Sen. Victor Umeh was achieved. She guaranteed Senator Umeh of 100% votes by the people of Abatete.

The twenty-two member coordinators of Senator Victor Umeh Support Group Abatete Ward who were inaugurated took oath of allegiance.
