The Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr uPatrick Agha Mba, has been honored by Man O’ War Nigeria with an Excellence Award.
The award was bestowed on him in his office by the State Commander of the Organization, Commander A.S. Egbo Egbo, who led a delegation on a courtesy visit.
He said the award was in recognition of his administrative cum leadership qualities manifested over the years in various positions held.
The Man of War boss pointed out that it had contributed in various areas, including training of vigilante groups, training of corps members, training of OCHA Brigade, as well as Onisha North Traffic Agency (ONTA).
He used the occasion to draw the attention of the commissioner to some of the challenges affecting its operations in the areas of mobility, accommodation and payment of subvention.
‘We want to let government know that we are ready to man security in schools. We can be involved in anti-cult security outfits in tertiary institutions.
‘We can also be involved in intelligence and information gathering and enforcement on environmental sanitation exercise,’ he said.
The Commissioner thanked the Non-Governmental Organization for considering him worthy of the award and praised them for their services to humanity.
He assured of continued partnership to drive various youth oriented programmes as conceptualized by the present administration for a better state, even as he assured them that their challenges would be given due consideration.
