The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, has called on Christians, world over, to make humility, selflessness and Christ-like love their watchword, noting that they are dust and unto dust they shall return.

Bishop Ezeokafor who stated this at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka, during this year’s Ash Wednesday Celebration, exhorted Christians to live a Christ-like life and shun avarice, hatred, backbiting, as well as hypocrisy.

His words, ‘You are dust and unto dust you shall return. To all men and women of good will, I invoke the superabundance of God’s paternal blessings as we make another journey of faith through this Lenten Season.

‘For us Nigerians and all our friends, it is a season of prayer and penance for our country, Nigeria. May God accept all the prayers and sacrifices we are making for Nigeria and for the forthcoming elections, Amen,’ Bishop Ezeokafor concluded.
