Late John Nwankwo Laid to Rest At 73

The remains of late Mr. John Okwuchukwu Nwankwo was on Friday 3rd May 2019, laid to rest in his compound, Umuelim Etuleze Village, Aguluzigbo, Anaocha L.G.A Anambra State. Late John Nwankwo died on 3rd of March 2019, after brief illness was 73 years old. Who was known for his dedication to working in the Lords vine yard and also for being the founder Queen of All Heart Parish Choir which made him exceptional.

Leading in the Holy Mass, the Parish Priest, Queen of All Hearts Catholic Church, Aguluzigbo, Rev Fr Cosmas Ekwutosi, condoled with the family of the deceased over the loss of their father. He described death as inevitable which every human must experience. He advised all to mend their ways of life, saying death can come at any time for all mortals.

In his homily, the Parish Priest, St Mary’s Catholic Church Ezira, Rev Fr Peter Val Uzoezie, stated that death was unavoidable, saying that Catholics believed in the resurrection. He maintained that Christ died for mankind to redeem them from their sins. He condoled with the family over the loss of their father, and prayed God to give him eternal rest in his kingdom. Fr Uzoezie commended them for taking care of their father when he was sick. He admonished those who did not take care of their aged ones when alive but preferred to spend heavily on burial ceremonies. He advised all to live holy lives in order to enjoy the richness of heaven.

Speaking to Fides, the first son of the deceased, Master Emmanuel Nwankwo, described his father as a disciplinarian and a great man of wisdom and knowledge. He opined that his father suffered from stroke for a period of one week which led to his death. This was as he said that his absence would be greatly missed, saying his late father was a man full of love and care towards his family, especially those that had came in contact with him.
